“I contacted Laura initially because I wanted to get in shape and tone up.   I was physically and mentally tired from working the third shift, and I had put exercise on the back burner. 

I actually found out the day after our consultation that I was pregnant, so it also helped that Laura is pre/postnatal certified!  Working with Laura gave me motivation and accountability, which kept me strong throughout my pregnancy—even when I didn’t feel like myself emotionally or physically.  

While I like being given direction, I also appreciate that Laura asks for feedback and input to ensure I get the proper program for my fitness level.  Laura lets me work at my own pace as I am not super athletic, coordinated, or “fast,” and this is important to me. She helps me remember that everyone’s fitness journey is different and a marathon, not a sprint, and that’s okay!

"When I was six months postpartum, I felt down about how my body looked and functioned. Finding the time to care for myself seemed daunting as a new mom.

I heard about Laura via Facebook and contacted her for a consultation in July. We agreed to work together twice a week. I scheduled cardio exercises in addition to those sessions.

After three months, mentally, I felt like a better wife and mother because I made the time to work on myself. In addition, Laura and I have worked on the connection breath and, most recently, prehab exercises for running. I know I’m engaging my pelvic floor, so I’m not overdoing my training. Laura is great about keeping me accountable for efforts outside of my sessions. Her pre- and postnatal certification allows her to coach in a safe and effective way for moms."

Structure and accountability
